A thousand ways to meet
From a neighbourhood café to a walk in nature, from a museum to a getaway: everywhere, members imagine simple ways to meet and share a moment that feels right for them.
Simply spend time together
No spectacular programme required. A welcoming place and a few open-minded people can be enough to start a real conversation.
Get some fresh air together
Walking side by side can remove a lot of pressure. Nature provides a pace, a view and room for silence too.
See, listen and discover
A work of art, a film or a concert immediately gives everyone something to share — and often a reason to keep the evening going.
A small-group meetup thoughtfully planned for you
Meet 4 to 6 members brought together around shared affinities over a drink in a quiet café near you. Atypikoo puts the table together; you confirm your seat.
Play and create
Having something to do together makes a first meeting easier. You can talk, observe, learn or simply play.
Share what life feels like
Philosophy cafés, meditation and neurodiversity conversations create space to think, listen and breathe.
Go a little further
Some connections begin with wanderlust: share an idea, find travel companions and imagine what comes next together.
They came for a meetup. They found much more.
First outings that reassure, connections that last and sometimes the desire to host the next one.
I had the opportunity to meet some wonderful people at events this summer, and I have stayed in touch with many of them. Because everyone’s differences are openly embraced, they become a non-issue and people can connect easily and without judgment — everyone comes as they are!
As a free member, the events feature is the most relevant one for me. I had the opportunity to attend for the first time, and it was an experience that helped me grow. Being able to gather with other atypical people allowed me to believe in the power of relationships again. I had no expectations because, after being hurt so much by social relationships, I had grown used to being alone.
I joined Atypikoo to take part in outings with other neurodivergent people and talk about the subject. I attended several outings and met kind, positive people. That made me want to organize events in turn. I am happy to be one of the Atypikool community :)
What if the next idea came from you?
An Atypikoo event can be simple: a few people, a clear setting and an activity that makes the first step easier.
Frequently asked questions about events
Who are Atypikoo events for?
Anyone who identifies with an atypical way of functioning — high sensitivity, giftedness, ADHD, autism — or who has simply always felt out of step with standard social codes. No need to justify yourself here: you come as you are.
Do I need a diagnosis to take part?
No. Atypikoo is open to anyone who relates to these ways of functioning, with or without a diagnosis. Nothing to prove and nothing to show — at sign-up or at events.
Does taking part cost anything?
Joining the community is free, and Atypikoo does not charge for attending events. You simply cover your own expenses on site — a coffee, a museum ticket, a train fare.
What is a first meetup like?
Every event is proposed and hosted by a community member, usually in a small group. Before signing up you can see the venue, the theme and how many people are coming; many first meetups happen over a quiet coffee or a walk — and nobody expects you to feel at ease right away.
Is it about dating or friendship?
Both. Atypikoo is a community where friendships and relationships alike take root; the events themselves are above all convivial moments open to every member, with no particular expectations.
How is the community kept safe?
Every profile is checked by our team or our tools to keep fake accounts out. A trust charter frames all interactions, any member can report content or behaviour, and moderation can go as far as excluding someone from events.
What if there is nothing near me?
Join the community to hear about upcoming meetups in your area, take part in online events, or start a simple one in your own town — a coffee is all it takes.
Who can suggest an event?
Any member of the community. Everyone can propose a meetup and choose a setting that suits the group they would like to bring together, from tiny gatherings to big tables.
Why are practical details not shown on this page?
This page is a public showcase: the images give each theme a visual and geographical setting without recreating a specific event or sharing its practical details. Dates, times and details of currently open meetups are available once you log in.
What are Atypical Tables?
A forthcoming small-group format: Atypikoo will bring together tables of 4 to 6 people around shared affinities in a quiet café, then everyone confirms their seat.
