This page explains how Atypikoo uses cookies and similar technologies on the website and the application. You can accept, refuse or customise your choices at any time, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the recommendations of the French Data Protection Authority (CNIL).

1. What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file saved on your device (computer, smartphone, tablet, etc.) when you visit a website or use an app. It can, for example:

  • recognise you from one page to another;
  • remember your preferences (language, session, settings);
  • measure traffic and how the website is used;
  • in some cases, follow up on an advertising campaign.

A cookie cannot identify you directly by name, but it can associate information with a unique identifier. Some data collected through cookies may therefore be considered personal data.

2. Why do we use cookies?

Cookies used on Atypikoo serve several purposes:

  • Ensure the technical operation of the site and the application (login, security, display, server load).
  • Remember certain settings (session, display preferences, consent choices).
  • Measure audience and understand how visitors use the site in order to improve it.
  • Manage certain communication campaigns and measure their effectiveness, subject to your consent.

Data from these cookies is never sold. It is used to keep the service running properly, to continuously improve the platform and to measure our marketing actions.

3. Legal basis and consent collection

Two situations exist:

  • Strictly necessary cookies for the site to function (authentication, security, any cart, remembering your login, etc.): these are placed without prior consent, in accordance with CNIL recommendations.
  • Cookies subject to consent (non strictly necessary audience measurement, advertising, certain third-party trackers): these are only placed after your agreement, via the banner or the cookie management module.

On your first visit, a banner informs you of cookie use and offers you the option to:

  • accept all cookies subject to consent;
  • refuse them;
  • or customise your choices by purpose.

Your choice is kept for a maximum duration of six (6) months. You can change it at any time, either via the "Manage my preferences" button in the cookie banner, or by configuring your browser.

4. Types of cookies used on Atypikoo

4.1 Strictly necessary cookies (functional / technical)

These cookies are essential for using the site and the application. Without them, some services cannot work properly.

  • Session identifier and authentication cookies (login, session continuity, security).
  • Load balancing cookies.
  • Interface personalisation cookies (display preferences, language, etc.).
  • "Remember me" cookie when you tick this option at login.
  • Cookie storing your cookie consent choices.

These cookies are not subject to prior consent but remain limited to what is necessary for the service.

4.2 Audience measurement and statistics cookies

These cookies allow us to understand how the site and the application are used, in order to improve content, ergonomics and performance. They may, for example, collect:

  • number of visits and unique visitors;
  • pages viewed and their reading time;
  • browsing paths on the site;
  • certain technical elements (device type, browser, etc.).

They are used for statistical purposes only, in order to improve the overall experience. Depending on the configuration chosen (anonymisation, duration limit, no cross-referencing with other data), some audience measurement cookies may be exempt from consent, others require your agreement.

We use the following services:

  • Google Analytics (audience measurement and traffic statistics, IP anonymisation enabled).
  • ClickRank (SEO analysis and understanding of browsing behaviour for site optimisation purposes).

To learn more about how Google processes data: https://www.google.com/analytics/learn/privacy.html.

Atypikoo currently does not use any advertising cookie (Google Ads, Meta Pixel, etc.) nor any marketing campaign tracking cookie.

5. Cookie retention period

Cookies used on Atypikoo have a limited lifetime:

  • The "Remember me" cookie expires after two (2) weeks.
  • The login cookie expires after two (2) days and is deleted as soon as you log out.
  • Audience measurement cookies are kept for a maximum duration of thirteen (13) months.
  • Your consent choice (acceptance or refusal) is kept for a maximum duration of six (6) months.

At the end of these periods, cookies are deleted or anonymised, and a new consent request may be offered to you.

6. How to manage cookies?

6.1 Via the cookie banner or management module

On your first visit, you can accept, refuse or customise the use of non-necessary cookies. As long as you have not given your agreement, these cookies are not placed.

You can then change your choices at any time by clicking the "Manage my preferences" button in the cookie banner, or by clearing Atypikoo-related cookies from your browser.

6.2 Via your browser settings

You can also configure your browser to:

  • accept or refuse all cookies;
  • block third-party cookies;
  • be notified when a cookie is set;
  • delete already stored cookies.

The configuration depends on the browser used. You will find the instructions in the help menus of your browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, etc.). Browsing in "private" mode also makes it possible to limit cookie persistence to the duration of the session.

Warning: blocking certain cookies may degrade or prevent certain Atypikoo functionalities from working (login, messaging, events, etc.).

7. Personal data and cookies

When cookies collect data that can be linked to an identified or identifiable person, this data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy (purposes, legal basis, recipients, retention period, rights of individuals, etc.).

You have, in particular, a right of access, rectification, erasure, opposition and restriction regarding your personal data, as well as the right to lodge a complaint with the CNIL.

8. Updates to this policy

This cookie policy may evolve, in particular to take into account legal, regulatory or technical changes. The version in force is the one published on this page as of the date of your visit.
