Atypikoo provides discussion forums for the Atypikoo community — gifted and highly sensitive people, people concerned by ADHD, autism, multipotentiality and many other profiles — and for anyone interested in these subjects. This Charter describes the specific operation of the forums.
The rules of conduct, behaviour that may lead to intervention, the handling of reports, penalties and appeal options are common to all Atypikoo areas: they are defined by the Moderation Charter, which applies in full to the forums. This Charter supplements it without repeating it.
It also applies in addition to the Terms of Use and the Trust Charter. In the event of any discrepancy between these documents, the Terms of Use prevail.
In accordance with Article 14 of Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 (the "DSA"), this Charter is drafted in clear, accessible language and applied diligently, objectively and proportionately, with due regard for the rights and legitimate interests of all parties concerned, including their right to freedom of expression and information.

1. How the forums operate
1.1 Display, visibility and indexing
- Messages are displayed in chronological order.
- By default, the title and first message of a topic may be publicly visible and indexed by search engines.
- They are displayed with the pseudonym and a non-photographic avatar, never with the real first name or profile photo.
- Pseudonymity does not guarantee anonymity: a set of shared details (interests, city, circumstances, etc.) may enable indirect identification. Before publishing, do not mention details that could precisely identify you (employer, address, a recent diagnosis that could be recognised, etc.).
- For certain topics, Premium Members may activate the "private topic" option: the topic is then not indexed by search engines and is visible only to logged-in Members. If this option is not activated, topics are public by default.
1.2 Access restricted to adults
The forums are restricted to adults in accordance with the Terms of Use. Where Atypikoo establishes that an account belongs to a minor, the account is deleted. This measure results from Atypikoo's access conditions and does not constitute a moderation penalty.
1.3 Review of new topics
- Topics created may be reviewed by the Atypikoo team before or after their publication on the forums.
- This review may be assisted by artificial-intelligence tools that produce an opinion on compliance with the Charters. Where such a tool is used, its opinion has no decision-making value: every decision to hold or reject a topic is made by a human member of the team (Article 22 GDPR).
- The arrangements for automated analysis (data processed, service provider, retention period and associated rights) are described in the Privacy Policy.
2. Forum etiquette
These expectations guide the quality of exchanges; on their own, they do not constitute grounds for a penalty. Behaviour that may lead to intervention is defined in Article 4 of the Moderation Charter.
- Respect for people: debate ideas and behaviour; do not attack the person. Writing does not convey tone — make your intention clear and indicate irony or humour.
- Constructive disagreement: disagreements, including strong disagreements, are expected in a discussion space. Make an argument instead of judging the person, and accept that you may not have the last word.
- Conflicts between Members: forums are not a place to settle scores. In the event of lasting tension, use the "Block" function or write to support, and do not carry a personal attack from one thread to another.
- Collective readability: write in French (or include a translation when quoting foreign-language text), avoid messages written entirely in capital letters, and check whether a similar discussion already exists before creating a new one.
3. Reporting and raising an alert
- the ♡ button highlights a particularly useful or constructive message;
- the "…" button reports a message that appears to breach the rules. You may specify the reason.
Reporting is reserved for behaviour covered by the Moderation Charter; it is not intended to express a simple difference of opinion. The handling of reports, the role of moderation-support tools (AI), measures and penalties, reasoned notification and appeal options are described in Articles 3, 6, 7 and 8 of the Moderation Charter.
Emergency. If a message appears to put someone in danger (explicit threat, call for violence or manifestly illegal content), send the link or a screenshot to help02@atypikoo.com, stating "urgent".
4. Privacy and security
For your own safety, you are strongly advised not to publish your personal contact details (telephone number, email address, postal address or exact workplace) in the public parts of the forum. Atypikoo reserves the right to hide such information and alert the Member, solely in the interests of their safety. Before publishing, ask yourself whether you would be comfortable with the message being read again several years later, by you or by others.
Treatment of public messages after a ban. In the event of a ban, the Member's public forum messages are automatically hidden from other Members as soon as the decision is made, in order to protect the community against the post-ban exploitation of information that may have appeared there (contact details, external references, etc.). Detailed arrangements (database retention, periods and restoration if the decision is reversed) appear in Article 12.3.3 of the Terms of Use and section 12.6 of the Privacy Policy.
The processing of personal data relating to forums (reports, moderated content and associated decisions) is based on Atypikoo's legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). The categories of data, retention periods and exercisable rights — including the right to lodge a complaint with the CNIL — are described in the Privacy Policy.
5. Changes to the Charter
This Charter may be updated to reflect changes in use, the legal framework and community feedback, under the arrangements set out in Article 10 of the Moderation Charter (prior information in the event of a material change and no retroactive effect). The date of the latest update appears at the top of the page.
