Atypikoo has a simple objective: to offer a space where you can be yourself, meet people like you and interact without constantly having to justify yourself. This Charter summarises our commitments to preserving a respectful, secure and transparent environment. It supplements the binding commitments set out in the Terms of Use, the Moderation Charter, the Forum Charter and the Privacy Policy.
1. Privacy and protection of your data
Your privacy is not optional. We comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and limit the data collected to what is strictly necessary to operate the Platform.
- You may change or delete your profile information from your member area.
- Your email address and real identity are not displayed to other Members; you retain control over the sensitive information you choose to share.
- We do not sell your data to third parties.
Full details appear in our Privacy Policy.
2. An inclusive and respectful community
Atypikoo welcomes gifted and highly sensitive people, people with ADHD, autistic people, people with dys disorders, multipotentialites and, more broadly, everyone who identifies with an atypical way of functioning.
- Disagreements, including strong disagreements, are possible; personal attacks are not.
- Intense engagement with a topic, direct communication and the political expression of neurodivergence are recognised as legitimate.
- No form of discrimination, targeted mockery or stigmatisation is tolerated — including on the basis of an atypical characteristic, neurodivergence, gender identity or orientation.
- Everyone arrives with their own history and needs: this requires nuance in exchanges, without demanding a bland or consensual tone.
The detailed participation rules are explained in the Forum Charter, the Moderation Charter and the Terms of Use.
3. Moderation, reports and support when you feel unsafe
Moderation relies on an internal team, technical tools, targeted checks and reports submitted by Members. Atypikoo does not carry out general, permanent and exhaustive monitoring of all exchanges, profiles, private messages or interactions between Members: Members therefore play an active role by reporting content or behaviour that they believe contravenes the Terms of Use, the Charters or the law.
- Profiles may be checked on the basis of factual indicators (reports, inconsistencies in declarations or suspected circumvention of a penalty), never on the basis of a subjective impression, appearance or discriminatory criterion.
- Reports (profiles, messages, forums and events) are reviewed in a manner appropriate to their apparent seriousness, level of detail and the information available.
- Measures are graduated and proportionate: contextualisation, modification, deletion, warning, temporary restriction, suspension, or temporary or permanent banning. A ban is in principle used only as a last resort, except in the serious cases specified in the Moderation Charter.
- In the event of an adverse decision, the Member receives reasons and may challenge it. The procedures (review, consumer mediation for paid plans and court proceedings) are described in the Moderation Charter.
A specific system helps identify certain keywords associated with psychological distress or suicide risk. Where this occurs, an information message and support resources may be offered. This system does not replace medical or psychological care and does not trigger any penalty.
The detailed principles are described in the Moderation Charter.
4. Use of artificial intelligence (AI)
Atypikoo uses AI tools to improve the experience, always within a transparent and limited framework:
- "Team Atypikoo" support: certain support responses may be generated with the assistance of an AI service (Google Gemini), while limiting the directly identifying data transmitted as far as possible. These exchanges may be used by Atypikoo for support follow-up and to improve the help provided, without being used to train the service providers' AI models.
- Virtual Love coach: the "Love coach" account is an AI-based conversational assistant. Talking to this coach involves the automated processing of your messages to provide personalised responses about relationships and dating.
- Moderation assistance: automated analysis tools may help detect problematic content (hate speech, harassment, spam, sectarian abuse, etc.) or classify reports.
In all cases:
- Sensitive decisions (warnings, suspensions and bans) are made by human beings.
- AI-related processing is described in the Privacy Policy, together with your rights of access, rectification and objection.
5. Zero tolerance for harassment
No one should have to endure persistence, pressure or intrusion.
- Repeated or persistent follow-ups despite the absence of a response are not acceptable.
- Unsolicited sexual messages, heavy-handed innuendo or emotional pressure are not tolerated.
- Where a refusal has been explicitly expressed, persistence may be treated as harassment.
Depending on the situation, graduated measures up to a ban may be taken against the account concerned under the conditions of the Moderation Charter and Article 12 of the Terms of Use. Blocking and reporting tools are there to protect you.
6. You remain in control of your interactions
On Atypikoo, you choose whom you meet and at what pace.
- You decide whether to use the Platform to meet friends, romantic partners or professional contacts, or simply to read and interact in the forums.
- No profile is imposed on you: search, filters and events allow you to proceed in your own way.
- You may block a Member, limit your exchanges or leave a conversation at any time.
7. Event commitments
Events are an important part of the Atypikoo experience. They are intended as respectful and inclusive spaces for meeting people in real life.
- Organisers clearly describe the type of event, venue, conditions and, where applicable, professional context.
- Participants undertake to respect the venue, instructions and other Members, and to give notice if they cannot attend.
- Any incident may be reported and will be reviewed by the team.
The full rules appear in the Event Charter and, for professional events, the Professional Terms of Sale.
8. An open and transparent business model
Atypikoo is funded by its Members' subscriptions. This choice allows us to:
- avoid targeted advertising and the sale of data;
- invest in development, moderation and community support;
- offer an honest freemium model: the free service remains a genuine tool (see who has visited you and added you to their favourites, reply without limit to messages received, and take part in forums, friendships and in-person events), while the subscription adds convenience and reach.
Our principle is simple: people pay because they want to join, not out of frustration. We do not lock what you need in order to push you into paying; only sending the first message between two unsubscribed Members requires a subscription.
Details are presented on the Our business model page and in the Terms of Sale.
9. Resources and support
Atypikoo is more than a dating platform:
- the Magazine offers more than 200 articles to help understand neurodiversity, relationships, and emotional and social life;
- self-assessment tests inspired by psychological or clinical references help users understand themselves better, without having diagnostic value;
- a directory of listed professionals helps users find appropriate support (psychologists, psychiatrists, neuropsychologists, etc.).
These resources do not replace a diagnosis or medical care, but may provide a basis for understanding yourself better and choosing the right people to consult.
10. A Platform that develops with its community
Atypikoo is a living project. The Platform, features and rules develop in response to:
- feedback from Members,
- legal requirements,
- the community's protection and security needs.
Your suggestions are welcome through support. Every contribution helps build a clearer, safer space that is better adapted to atypical people.
